Recording Record Highs And Always Catching Up...
Last year I found that many cross-stitchers were recording the temperatures in their area each year. There have been several different patterns you can choose from: Trees, flowers, butterflies, galaxy, drinks, books, etc. I am obsessed with dragonflies so can you guess what I went with? Last year I did flowers and I stopped around April. I still have the temperatures of the year, easy to find even if I did not write them down. I thought once I "caught up" with this year to that point, well I'd just do them both at the same time.
I don't know if you are noticing a trend here. I am always "catching up"! I think as crafters we do get behind because we find so many different things we want to do. Between cross stitch patterns, quilt patterns, crochet patterns, patterns, patterns, and more patterns...I just want to do them ALL! I have been able to do everything I have put into a goal. Time to pull out the planner and get goal setting!
I am hoping to finish the outlines of the dragonflies by the beginning of next week. I also want to start doing my daily temperature so as not to get behind anymore. Plus I have to do a few more days in order to get myself caught up for last year, then keep going on both for the year. It's a lot to think about since I have most of my stitching time taken up by my Santa ornaments for the bazaar. I also want to stitch a few larger things so I can have those too. I am thinking that at night I get to do those, but only as long as I get the temperature days done.
I find recording the high and low for the day very interesting to look over both years to see the difference. I use the same temperature range for all years so the same color means the same temperature. Do you want to see what I have on both?
