Bunny Stuffies!!
Spring is on the calendar, but not in the air where I am though. I have been seeing all these cute little bunnies on social media and I was thinking, "What a great way to bring in Spring even though Mother Nature is holding her hostage!"
I started digging and collecting pictures to see which one I wanted to try first. Here are a few I found...
I decided to post on my FaceBook page and see which one other people liked because y'all!! I couldn't decide. You can see the post here ---> Momma Goose Stitches | Facebook.
Many liked the chenille bunnies but I would have to hunt down some chenille-type fabric. I remember as a child having these types of blankets and my Mammow's house. For now, this was a no go but the idea of textured fabric was in the back of my mind brewing up ideas.
I really liked the next 3 bunnies because you can make quite a few at once and throw them into a dough bowl. Plus you can take your room esthetic and make them out of fabric colors and designs that go with that. In reality, you can do that will all of them, I was just thinking these would make a cute statement.
Then I came to the carrots AND the bunny. LOVED IT!! It lead me down a whole other path but I focused and restrained myself to make just these carrots and bunnies. I thought I would try free-hand drawn bunny, next time I'll find a free drawing or either get better at drawing, lol. Here it is --->
I did two different carrot tops. I'm still deciding on which one I like the best. I have to admit the material I used for my first go around doesn't make the tattered look show well. However, I like the peaking shears too. It was so much fun to do something just out of the blue this weekend and I so enjoyed the freedom of choosing fabrics, finishing, free-hand, etc. I'll have to keep practicing!
Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting!
